These terraces at Les Terraces Cap-à-l’Aigle are up in the mountains of Charlevoix with mile-long views of the surrounding mountains. Then there’s the famous Club Med in Charlevoix. Did you know there was a Club Med in Charlevoix?? Well, now you know! Get the Club Med experience here in Charlevoix where you can get all-inclusive wedding packages and honeymoon packages as well. This is the perfect place for an intimate wedding with a destination feel.
Auberge des Falaises et Pavillon is a great place for an intimate wedding that offers also a beautiful indoor setting if you prefer. The indoor reception room has wall-to-wall views of the St. Lawrence river so you have the feeling of being in the outdoors. You can have a ceremony outside with those same views as well if you wish.
The Isle-aux-coudres surrounds the beautiful location of Hotel Cap-aux-Pierres making you feel like you’re on vacation. This venue is actually great for small elopements and large weddings so no matter how you envision your day, this venue has many configurations to make this special for you.
And we cannot forget the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu! Outdoor or indoor, you will have a stunning wedding location for your ceremony and reception. The views are jaw-dropping and the location is stunning as we can expect from a Fairmont. There is history, beautiful nature, impressive buildings, so many options to make your wedding your dream wedding experience.
Let’s switch gears and talk about the more adventurous elopement or intimate wedding style. There are gorgeous Air BNBs in Charlevoix that are perfect for your elopement or small intimate wedding.
I am starting off with Montagne Le Maelstrom because it is my particular favourite. There are many cabins to choose from that are on the top of the mountain with sweeping views, but I will highlight Lagöm. It is stunning, intimate, and romantic. The perfect way to say your vows on the top of the mountain with the ones you love the most and a perfect getting ready location and honeymoon stay all in one.
La Maison d’Hector is a great place for a wedding if you also want a place for your guests to stay. It is right on the banks of the Gouffre river on a large piece of land with ponds and trees on the grounds.
Le Green 1 chalet is a beautiful and intimate Scandinavian style cabin at the popular tourist attraction Le Massif in Charlevoix.
La Grande Paix is a spacious cabin with breathtaking views of Le Massif in Charlevoix and a spa as a bonus. The terrace would be an amazing place for a small elopement or intimate wedding and a gorgeous place to stay for your honeymoon.
There are so many things to do in Charlevoix because it is a nature wonderland. There are various national parks and nature activities to do as a couple or as a family. These national parks would also be amazing locations for your elopement or wedding if you desire to go right into the heart of nature to say “I do.”
The Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park stands out because of the deep valleys that cut into the high mountains. This is home to the highest walls on the East of the Rocky Mountains so it is really an epic adventure with epic views.
The Grands Jardins national park is popular among those who love to go fishing, those who love camping and hiking. It is a beautiful park for nature lovers. Imagine your elopement as a hike up the mountains, camping in one of the gorgeous spots it has to offer.
If you love the water and the animals that live in it, you have to go on one of the whale watching cruises during your honeymoon stay! Or suggest it to your guests. It’s a must-do activity in Charlevoix!
Or if you love the water and want to do a kayak or canoe adventure, Katabatik is a great place for that. There is sea kayaking, paddle surfing, river descents, even bike rentals. Perfect for your first married adventure!
