I was so pumped when the Heron family asked if they could bring their canoe for some romantic and fun engagement and family canoe photos on the beautiful St. Lawrence river! I could not wait to go see the beautiful landscapes in the Long Sault Parkways because I had heard about the amazing sunsets. And it did not disappoint!! The evening that we went, it was a bit chilly for a summer night but the skies were a stunning orange and pink colour, I could not believe how beautiful it was!
It felt like one of the most peaceful and therapeutic photoshoots I had ever done because there was not another soul in sight. All that was surrounding us was large water views, even bigger orange skies, the sound of different birds, and beautiful laughter of a family who was so deeply connected that I could not help but feel so renewed and energized.
While the canoe photos are for sure my favourite, especially with their beautiful canoe from the Quebec-owned, family run business Esquif, I also love the photos of the sweet connections between the 4 of them as well as between the two little brothers. The 4 year old sweetheart did not stop telling me how much he loves his baby brother and my heart melted! I watched him take care of him and hold him tight.
